Hey Erika, Thank you so much for posting this information! Not only did I discover that my car seat is affected by this recall, but when I pulled it out of storage, I discovered that the straps were covered in mold (EEEEWWW!!). That would have totally sent me over the edge if I had waited (as I would have) to pull it out of storage in July before my daughter is born.

So thank you very very much!! Am on the phone now with Evenflo to get the repair kit.

Thank you for posting this message. It is important for mothers to know if their children are in any danger from a product recall. I have heard about this recall recently and was searching around sites. I found your site and thought I would leave a comment about this. My son is now 6 months old and he has an affected car seat. The handle has released on me 4 different times now. Luckily i have been able to catch the car seat before any injury was done to my son. Now I know why it was releasing and I have order the repair kit. Once again thanks for posting this message.
