Amazingly adorable puppy alert. Bow down low to our new furry overlord.

On Thursday our new puppy was born.

Somewhere in this pile of dog sleeps our new puppy “Lucy.”

May 14th we can take her home, and I’m so excited! I didn’t really want to get another dog at first, but now I’m completely on-board. That said, here is the wonderful dog she is following:

She went to work with me every day. She napped on my desk. She had free-run of our whole office building. She knew how to recycle paper for me. She jumped on a trampoline. She was an AMAZING dog.

Lucy has a big act to follow.

    She’s a lab right?

We have a nine year old who we adore. He was our baby before there were babies. He is absolutely wonderful with the boys who love nothing more than to just beat on him and ride him and pester him all day long. You will love that dog to pieces I have no doubt.

But I know you miss your good old dog. I still miss mine. She died in 1993 and she’s still the best dog I ever had.

    She’s a Labradoodle — a lab / poodle mix.

My friend just got a labradoodle. The no-shed thing is very appealing. Congratulations on your soon-to-be new addition!

(Our dearly departed dog looked an awful lot like yours except she had some brown and tan on her. She was an awesome dog. *sniff*)

One of my friends has what has become the most enormous labradoodle in the entire world. They picked out the ‘runt’ of the litter and now have the largest she-lab in the world.

Size aside, it is perhaps one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever known.

Ours is supposed to get to be about 55 pounds — that’s 10 pounds more than our previous dog, so it shouldn’t be too much of a change. I hope!

    How sweet!!!

How old were your kids when you got your border collie? I plan to gt one, but was holding off till my youngest starts school because I’ve heard they are not good with small kids due to the herding instincts?

There’s nothing cuter than a fresh new puppy! Except when they chew on your favorite shoe…not cute.

Congrats on the new family member! :)

*Lovin’* that you are getting a dog so we don’t have to. For me I would pick: two leggy Great Dane puppies. Have fun, you guys. Still missing Wacky Dog fiercely over here, but it’s not as bad as it was.
