Answer to: Who Stumbled me?

April 24, 2009 16 Comments

1666077667Ever get some traffic to your site via Stumbleupon and wish you could figure out who to thank?

I thought this was common knowledge, but apparently it isn’t, so I’ll share this sweet tip with you.

Let’s say that this is the URL to a post of yours which is getting traffic from Stumbleupon:

http://tryhandmade.com/passive-aggressive-lunch-notes/

Take off the ‘http://’ part and add it to the end of ‘http://www.stumbleupon.com/url/’ like this:

http://www.stumbleupon.com/url/tryhandmade.com/passive-aggressive-lunch-notes/

On the right side of the page you’ll see the name of the Stumbler who first discovered your page and you can thank them if you like.

So thanks Karen (Craftastophe), I’m glad you liked Lotta’s post. There will be another one next week!

And for the rest of you, have you seen that Lotta (Mom-O-Matic) has a column on my site Try Handmade? You really need to check out Crafting with Lotta, but be sure you’re not drinking anything that you don’t mind snorting all over your computer screen!

Wow! I always wanted to figure that one out. Karen is a master stumbler. She's got the magic touch – everything she stumbles gets so many hits!

I just bought my supplies at the store and will have my next column done this weekend. If I don't drink all the ingredients first….

Great tips! I use stumbleupon and hadn't figured that out.

Maybe I should not have told you that. Or maybe you do care.

Although I dont know why you would. You have never met me. Even if you have met me you wouldn't know it.

    PLease, make me stop.
