Best dog-toddler toy ever!

You know those dog toys that you put kibble or treats in and then the dog has to roll the toy around until they get it out out? They’re supposed to be good at occupying dogs and giving them a project, so of course I got one for Lucy.

But you know what? They are even better as a toy to convince your dog that the toddler is not, in fact, the devil in a kid suit. Lucy has now figured out that she can get Chip to shake the treats out and feed them to her.

At first I was irritated because, you know, that’s not what you’re supposed to do with it, but then I realized something: it is teaching the dog that Chip is his buddy, so I guess this was $16 well spent.

My poor dog spent a month behind the living room chair when our eldest first came to live with us as a toddler. She never came out until she knew he was safely in bed. Poor thing.

Better watch out! Soon they’ll be ganging up on you. :)

Yes, I found the same thing with a similar one I bought for my dog. It made a noise like a duck for about 1 day before that broke and now it’s languishing outside somewhere. Every now and again it gets resurrected, food put in it and rolled around by the dog.
