You have not lived until you’ve heard a kid fart in a Bilibo! How’s that for “intuitive game creation”!
I have to say, though, that I get a little irritated by toys that tout themselves as open-ended. Like kids need vague toys in order to understand that, hey, they can play with it any way they want to.
My boys are nuts, and they find off-label uses for every single toy in our house. Something’s not a toy? No problem there. They don’t need to be told to get creative with their toys, that’s just what kids do.
I do really like this Bilibo thing, I guess it just touched off a little something in my brain… Hey, it even encouraged MY creativity and sparked this blog post. That’s one hell of a toy.
