Everyday Mommy is stalking me

How else could you explain her dead-on drawing of me? (Click to see the amazing details!)

True, I tried recently to get a little hip. I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that my feet are TWO SIZES LARGER than they were before my 2 pregnancies.

Sort of.

I mean I’m still bitter about it, but short of lopping off toes I don’t have a lot of options.

slides2.jpgI had a point… oh right, I bought some new shoes. I still can’t face dragging my sorry feet to a department store, so it was Hello Zappos.com!

slides1.jpgBUT the two pairs of shoes I got were slip-ons! I can’t win.

I also wear capris. Every day.

I don’t even have a ‘sensible mommy haircut’ I just have ‘too lazy to get a haircut for over a year so stick it in a ponytail’!

I’m wearing a v-neck from Target right now.

I realize that correcting my dazed mental state and glazed-over eyes is probably up to me, but at least I don’t have to dress the part of over-tired insane mom. My god, I need help ladies! I have a whole new season coming up — you know, ‘Fall’ — so maybe I can wear some un-lame clothes. But what? Suggestions, please!

EDITED TO ADD:

The cartoon was drawn by Everyday Mommy not me! Yikes, I thought I was clear enough about that, but apparently not! ;) All hail Everyday Mommy’s drawing prowess!

I am sooo dreading the end of capris season….Back to shortening pants. Dammit. And, I am not a good person to ask for advice about hipping up your wardrobe…! ;) I, too, am living in capris, and lululemons (I’m not sure if they have lululemon in the US, but their pants are comfi and very slimming….) So, if I were to give you advice? Lululemon (I think they have a website–the store is HUGE here in Toronto).

Lululemon.com looks cute, thanks for the tip! For the fall/winter now I’m thinking maybe skirts and tights. Still lame, but maybe a little higher on the scale!

Hello Pot, my name is Kettle! (Someone RESCUE us!)

There may be no hope for us!

Here’s one thought: dark jeans look sophisticated and hide the dirt and make you look slim (if they fit right) and wear like jeans (only need to be washed if they get something really disgusting on them.) And light jeans are a natural for you with your light coloring. To look put together, though, they can’t be worn with white runners.

Try the Zafu jeans finder (I have a post about it) if you want to be able to buy something from home, maybe you can get a nice pair on ebay.

I have been known to give individual consultations and you have my email now. :) You are definitely not hopeless!

She’s stalked and killed me a long time ago…

awesome cartoon! You ought to put it on a t-shirt.

Thanks for the tips, Rebecca. If I ever get caught up on my sleep enough to remember my own name I’ll give them a try.

Manic Mom: I like my shoes too — thanks!

Dawn: I like the fGreen theme, and I just had fun making it more my own.

Beth: Eek, did I make it seem like I did this cartoon myself?!? Check the link in the post to see the artist. She’s very funny and I cannot draw. Email her the tshirt idea!
