Fun for all the kids together. With minimal fighting. Really, I'm not making this up.

My mom gave the boys these amazing magnety-things called Magna-Tiles for Easter.

All three of them (2, 4 and 5 years old) spent the better part of the afternoon playing with them together. That right there means the toy’s creator should get some sort of award in my book. (Look very carefully to the right of the tower above and you can see Chip building his part.)

And I’ll be honest, I like playing with them as much as the boys do. We’re going to have to get another set so that there’s enough for the four of us!

Those are really cool looking. Excuse me while I expose my OCD here, though. I’d love to get them, but magnets freak me out. I’m always afraid my kids will try to stick them to my computer or TV or whatever it is they screw up.

Even so, if it would make my kids play together quietly, it might be worth twinging my OCD. ;)

    Very cute…

And they look at peace in their wee structure…

I know how you feel. We were playing with the legos the other day and I was the one who said we needed more because I didn’t have enough for MY project!!!

    No fighting? No way!!

I may have to orders those to be delivered by Fed-Ex.

Dude! I totally LOVE those things. We always shop at this place called Lakeshore Learning and they have those out to play with and if not for my children being all…children-y, I’d sit there and play with them for hours.

Those do look really fun, and most attractive. I’ll have to keep this in mind for when various friends’ kids need gifts. Or for my own birthday. Whatev

We just saw a similar toy yesterday (not sure if they were called MagnaTiles but they looked exactly like this) at a mall kiosk and my eight year old, who I thought was beyond these things, was mesmerized. Seriously, I could only pull her away with the promise of an Ice Blended from the Coffee Bean.

My son has similar magnet type toys – not as big as these, more about 1inch in size and lots of metal balls to go with them – he loves them.
