in Go Read It Today (from PlainJaneMom.com)

First things first, I need a waffle iron that makes those tiny round waffles like you buy in the frozen section at the store. You know, they come as 4 stuck together? I keep looking online and I’m finding nothing more than Mickey Mouse waffle irons and (god forbid) Belgian waffle makers. I have nothing against The Belge, but those are not waffles! But back to the point at hand, can someone please help me find a waffle maker that makes mini waffles?

SNORT!

Go give Karrie some suggestions.

Poor puppy… we did this about 2 years ago too.

A restaurant here in town makes TEENY waffles – about 2 or 3 inches diameter TOPS. I asked where I could go about purchasing one of those handy waffle irons, and they said you can only buy them for commercial use (ie: they’re expensive and hard to find).

If you find these let me know…they have some http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=178842

PizzellePro which are tiny little crepe like waffles…which I am debating about buying. My boys hate the beligum waffles and the tiny four pack is what they want but i’ve given up and will make them pancakes instead. *sigh*

Is it ok that they’re heart shaped? This breaks apart into 5 tini heart shaped waffles:

Otherwise the 365 brand of frozen mini waffles are so cheap, I probably would just buy those and fill the freezer. But I’m lazy like that. I bought a regular waffle iron to make pumpkin waffles–yum–and used it twice in 3 years.

Karrie: The 365 (Whole Foods) ones are what I’m trying to duplicate — and I have a freezer full of them as we speak.

I just don’t like the smell of them, plus I like to sneak things like Wheatina or pumpkin into baked stuff, and I can’t do that with store bought. :(

They need to invent a waffle iron that doesn’t make a mess that takes until dinner time to clean up!!

Makes miniature waffles, but perhaps they’re too small:
