Winner! The random number generator chose the prize-getter for my latest contest. Let’s have a nice round of applause for Thordora! (Email me your mailing address, and I’ll get them to send you your loot!)

Karen’s friends are going to Africa to volunteer in a hospital for a month, and they are hoping to get contributions so they can bring money and goods to an area in desperate need. If you can spare $5 this is a great way to put it to use.

Snort!

Elisabeth’s 20-week ultrasound will air on pay-per-view.” I always think her last name is Hasselhoff, so maybe watching that would help me remember which weirdo is which.

Nothing says happy mother’s day more than a granite marker in a quiet cemetery reminding you of the child you lost.” You must read this beautiful post.

Agreed.

ALL RIGHT! Now we’re talking!

I am so glad I found your blog. It is opening up a whole new world of fantastic blogs. I too am heartbroken after reading Redneck Mommy’s post. It was beautiful.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the linky love! I haven’t talked to Chris yet today (he is West Coast) but as of last night there was over $130 U.S.! Considering the people in Manzini make less than $1 U.S./day, that will go a long way!

  5. […] You guys are amazing! As of late last night, there was over $500 U.S. donated to the Africa trip! A HUGE thank you to Plain Jane Mom, Girl con Queso, and Kristen Darguzas of Parent Dish for spreading the word about this trip. Donations will be accepted right up until the end of the month when Chris and Jenn leave, so if anyone would be willing to continue spreading the word, that would be SO great. […]

I HATE that Hasselwhatever chick. How smarmy is it to broadcast your ultrasound for money? I’m sure its some sort of freaky anti-choice thing. Ugh.
