Call me a bitch, but is having a day where no one blogs the only way to remember the people who were killed at Virginia Tech? I love that people are coming up with creative ways to mark this occasion, but for me at least, sitting on my hands isn’t how I would choose to show my respect. I’m OK with this project as long as folks like me who continue to blog on that day are not thought to be disrespectful. We all need to go through this in our own fashion.
And for anyone who is still putting sponsored/paid posts on their site, here’s some interesting reading. “Google to penalize bloggers selling links?” (And here’s a more cynical but really interesting take on the issue.) Why should you care? If Google follows through and starts dinging sites, your pagerank could drop. Just be sure to educate yourselves so you can make a fully-informed choice.
