This post at atomictumor (read it and share it) plus my husband’s uncle currently being in the hospital close to death really make one thing clear to me: don’t put off going to the doctor when you know you really should go.

Yup, BUT…
I am pretty sure that if she went with the UTI, she’d have gotten antibiotics, which is what she had all sorts of in the hospital,and didn’t work. (whoa… that was an ugly sentance)
Point is, I don’t think that we could have done anything differently and come up with another solution. I mean, maybe, but I don’t think so.
But yeah, I’m going to be a bit more paranoid from now on when the kids cough…
BTW, this is an awesome site. I love the design (and I don’t normally deign to compliment web design…!)

Hey AT, I totally don’t mean to suggest that if she had gone to the doc a little earlier that the outcome would have been changed. I’m really sorry if it seemed like I was passing judgment on her or you.
The coincidence of your post today and the fast-moving situation with my husband’s uncle just made me feel the need to say “something” about people getting their behind to a doc to be on the safe side.
It sounds like you’re doing a great job keeping your kids together, and I hope you all have a good week.

And frankly, it may HAVE changed the outcome! So yes, I’m all about heading over to the doc… unless its me.
Because I don’t take my own advice well..
