Great indoor games for the winter?

OK, so I’m clearly in a “help me help me” mood. Yesterday I unearthed a game called “Hullabaloo” from the back of a closet. It was given to one of the boys ages ago and foolishly we never even opened it. This is the coolest game!

Mike and Robbie can get it out, set it up, and play with it all by themselves. And it is fun. And it is energetic — perfect for winter indoor play. It is easy for them to put away by themselves too. All in all, the perfect game. Well, with one exception. I want more games like this!

Ideally I’m looking for games that store in a very small space, don’t have tiny pieces to loose, get them to move their bodies, are easy for them to set up/put away and play by themselves, and are fun! Any suggestions?

I bought one of those for my grandkids last Christmas and I don’t think they have ever opened theirs.

Glad you guys have enjoyed yours like I thought people would. :)

Wow.. I was just talking to the husband unit about games today…wanting there to be more that Adam could actually figure out even though he can’t read yet.

We were trying to remember the one’s we had as kids.

Wasn’t their one where you had to hang or balance little monkey things or something and not have this thing collapse?

DeeJay — It looked just so flipping complicated when I glanced at the package. I happened to find it again when my 2 oldest were crying and falling apart. I ripped it open and stuffed batteries in it in less than a minute!

CC — I remember one about monkeys that link their arms together, and another (“Mousetrap”?) where you put together a contraption. I think those would be great when the boys are older, but now I need something that gets them up and jumping around.

    Help!!

Hey!I know this post was from a waaaaay long time ago but I just thought I’d share. I recently signed up to be a consultant for Simply Fun which sells games so when I stumbled on this blog I thought this may be an opportunity to share. I’m so excited about it and their games are so fun! I love hulaballo and they have tons of games that are great in the same ways. Hope you enjoy checking it out.
