come over here and sit next to me on the "new middle aged ladies" bench. we definitely are much younger than our moms and grandmoms and you my dear are definitely younger than me!

this is what i choose to think when i suddenly find myself wondering how this can possibly be.

I've had some trouble coming to grips with that myself. I think I'll stick with denial a while longer.

You'll laugh, but when it really hit me was when I saw "It's Complicated." It's a great movie, and I suspect you might have to be of a certain age to enjoy it as much as I did. I posted this on the way home from the theater that night…

I’m still coming to terms with the phrase “late-30s.” So I’m giving myself one more year: 38 is officially late-30s.

I also read somewhere that 38 was officially middle aged.

    Full disclosure: I’m 42.

42 is the answer to “what is the meaning of life?”, so its not a bad number to be.

I did a survey last night…year 4 of a 5 year study. She asked if my birthdate had changed. I told her that it was now “1982” instead of “1972”. She didn’t think that was funny. ;-)

She asked if your birthdate had changed? I think *that’s* pretty funny.
