I need some help here. Let me know how you build up a skin of iron. And I don't mean by skipping the shea butter.

I’ve been in a funk lately, and it’s all because I got my feelings hurt. It affected many aspects of my daily life, and I feel like an ass! I wish I could toughen up. Do you have a tough skin? Then tell me, how do you do it?

    I got nothin’. I recently had my feelings hurt, too, and I got defensive and argued with someone. Now I just feel bitter and keep re-running the conversation through my head. Wish I had some helpful advice to give to both of us.

    I can get the same way. I have to force myself — and believe me, it’s hard — force myself to think of something else. Doing something nice for someone else can also do the trick sometimes.

    Phooey, I was hoping to find a ton of advice too. That Dr. Seuss quote was surprisingly helpful, but I get my feelings hurt too easily as well.
