Last year I was treated to some very similar scenarios as you described - with the exception of the coffee. It was coffee alright - but with almost a full bottle of blue food coloring as an additive. On Monday my 6 yr old's teacher tells them about April Fools Day. Since then he has been telling me all about it and asking if it is "Happy Fools Day" yet. He has even done some of his version of jokes this whole time. Fortunately he seems to have forgotten about it so far today. I certainly won't remind him about it. I can really relate to this.
