Ninjas like pies too

The Backyardigans - Mission to MarsThe boys have just gotten interested in the Backyardigans, and I’m all over it because they are original stories with original songs. For example, they are currently watching the Mission to Mars DVD and the song I hear coming out of the TV goes like this:

Ninjas like pies too, we do, we do, Ninjas like pies too!

Seriously, how high were the writers when they came up with this one? I don’t mind. Really. Whatever it takes to entertain the kids. It’s all about the kids. The kids are the future. I just want to know.

For whatever reason I can tolerate Backyardigans. I think it’s the theme song, or maybe the little character names, tyrone and uniqua, thats cool. Anyway, Mission to Mars plays at our house at least three times a day. I thought I would let you know you are not alone.

Backyardigans are great. I love how they use their imagination for playing.

Beats alot of other stuff out there….like spongebob….

andria — the ‘boinga’ song is playing in the background as I type this!

carmachu — I had clearly forgotten what was in spongebob. I hadn’t watched it since I had kids and I picked up a DVD for the boys one day. We got through about 10 minutes of it before I had to turn it off! Definitely for adults and kids way older than mine!

Hahaha!!! Every backyardigans song I’ve EVER heard is like that. Completely random, repetitive, nonsensical. And yet the kids love it.

carmachu — I haven’t thought about R&S in a million years!

Kristen — At least they aren’t all the same like the Blues Clues songs. Variation is what will keep me from losing my mind.
