Ode to Mr. Plain

I married a keeper.

Mr. Plain is handsome, smart, funny, incredibly well-read, sexy, a great dad, and has a career he enjoys. But the best part is that he loves me most of all.

Right now, like he does most every other evening, he’s cooking dinner. 2 dinners in fact. Usually the kids eat what we eat, but tonight he’s making them spaghetti and meatballs, and for us a yummy chicken breast with a mustardy-cornichon sauce that I love.

He also does the grocery shopping. And the yardwork. And the bills. And about a million other things.

You might ask “What the hell do YOU do, Jane??” But this post is not about me. It is about my amazing husband, totally inaccurately referred to on this blog as “Mr. Plain.”

It’s all true about K too. We are lucky, lucky women!

I’m right there with you. My husband’s eternal goodness makes me look terminally bad, very bad. After cleaning the whole house, watching all three of our kids, letting me sleep in and organizing two closets last weekend, he surprised me with a rose petal covered, two dozen candle romantic feast. Basically, I suck.
