Olympics to-the-death!

in Life

Two years ago we were watching the Summer Olympics and Fencing came on. Henry and Ed (then about 5) were really excited until they learned that it wasn’t a fight to the death kind of competition. Oh, how we laughed.

So you’d think I wouldn’t have been surprised last night when Biathalon came on. You know Biathalon, the ski-SHOOT-ski-SHOOT sport?

I came into the room just as Craig was explaining to the boys that it wasn’t a shoot-out. You had to shoot at the targets, not the other competitors.

I laughed so hard I fell on the ground and could hardly breathe, but you know, NBC should consider it for next time. The ratings would be fantastic.

Gotta love boys! I assume they have played that Wii sword fight game? Zach goes absolutely CRAZY trying to knock the opponent off the pedestal. (There is no dying in Wii.) I’m sure he would love a shoot-to-the-death event, virtual or otherwise. Boys!
