We rode back over to school this afternoon to check out the class lists. As Henry said, “I only know this kid and this kid and this kid and…” and proceeded to name about 3/4 of the class. I think he’s going to be fine!
(And in his spare rime he’s running a hotel for his brothers in the backyard. Here they’re having snacks in the restaurant.)

And the school year begins again. Potluck was tonight and homework, sports, and daily schedules resume Tuesday. Pretty sure I’m not ready for this.

I rode down to the shopping center this morning to get a hair cut. In the ten minutes I was sitting outside waiting for my appointment I saw more people smoking cigarettes than I have for the last month. What’s up with that?
It was a fun quick ride both ways. I’m not looking forward to the rainy season because driving is so boring!

Charlie isn’t able to keep up with us on the way, but once we get to a park or somewhere else with wide open spaces he’s a speed demon with training wheels.

I got to bike all by myself today. I went over to the kids’ school to help get ready for the new school year, and it was really fun not to be pulling dogs or guiding a flock through an intersection. Back to normal tomorrow, though :)
