A friend from work called tonight and asked to borrow Mr. Plain’s cigar cutter. (He quit a year or so ago, yet retains the accoutrements.) He’s going to bring it into the office tomorrow to give to our friend. Every ONE of you think good thoughts/pray that he needs it because he’s announcing a new child.
They have a kid who is about 8. They, OK, his wife, had enough of pregnancy the first time around. (Dude, she couldn’t even SEE!) They have talked about adopting an older child before. Let this be THAT. hope hope hope. I like them a lot and that would be great.
(I’ll leave it as an excercise to the reader to work out all the ‘he’ ‘that’ and ‘this’ in the preceeding words. No one ever told you this would be easy. Wuss.)
Thanks Zero Boss for the linky linky! I don’t need no stinking blogroll. So much drama, sheesh!
(Vegetarian alert. Look away!) We’re going away to a small town for Thanksgiving and thinking of going to a turkey farm on the way and picking up a freshly, um, ‘deaded’ turkey for Thanksgiving. I’m thinking that our kids won’t be scarred by this. Am I naive?
