I loved the movie Shaun of the Dead so much, and when I heard that the same folks had a new movie coming out I was very excited. Sadly, we saw it last Saturday night and it was really, really bad.

All I wanted was to see a good goofball comedy, but it wasn’t particularly funny, the plot was blah, and I now am so sad. The only good part of the evening was the great Mexican food we had first, but I’m not sure that’s enough of a reason to recommend a movie!

Noooooooooo
Say it isn’t so!?
I was really looking forward to it!
Darn it all. I was pretty excited about seeing this.
Well I enjoyed it. A bit of light-hearted humour, with lots of little references to other films and events. Sure, not as good as Shaun Of The Dead, but it still made me laugh.
Damn….
I was planning to make it a rental anyway but damn….I HEART Shaun of the Dead so much…
I must be a complete loser, I’ve never heard of either movie.
Reminder to self…get a life outside of blogs.
I’ve never seen SHAUN OF THE DEAD. But I did see HOT FUZZ this past weekend. Great movie . . . and hilarious! I haven’t seen a movie this funny in years.
Maaaaan… I was hoping that it would be good.
Next you’ll tell me that the Speed Racer movie eats it, too. (They’re filming it for release in 2008, and it’s by the Matrix boys… I’m pretty excited, if they don’t completely hose it up. Which will prolly happen.)
Oh, I am so crushed to hear that! On the flip side, I saw “Blades of Glory” with absolutely no expectations of even a chortle, and yet found myself giggling throughout the movie.
It was that bad?? I saw, a while back, the shorts at the cinemas and thought it looked good but was just talking about it yesterday to a friend and they said it was terrible as well.
Looks like I save my money and not see it.

NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I had such high hopes, too. I loved loved loved Shaun of the Dead. What a bummer. But, I’m a total sucker for British humor.
Oh that’s a shame. Shaun of the Dead was so hilarious. I’ll wait for the DVD.
