Stick It In Your Queue: The Dog Whisperer

In honor of our new dog Lucy, for this week’s Stick It In Your Queue I’ve chosen “The Dog Whisperer.”

This TV show features Cesar Milan in Los Angeles. He is a dog trainer who has found his life’s calling taking care of dogs no one wants. He is an amazing person and watching this show makes me so grateful that there are good people in the world.

However, as I type this, Lucy is trying to chew through the cable on my scanner. And eat my slippers (so cliche). And pee on the rug.

So while I sort out my new routine, you’ll have to just settle for me saying “This one is really good. Trust me. Just rent it already. Why are you still here?”

Oh, and did you notice there was no “Go Read It Today” today? Blame the dog — I didn’t READ anything Friday, so you know, that makes this whole thing more difficult!

I love that guy. He’s so down-to-earth and common sense about training.

That’s why, even though I like dogs a lot, it will take an act of Congress to get me to get another one. My last dog, Sadie, was a handful; I finally had her pretty well trained and calm when she developed a sudden illness and we lost her. I won’t “give my heart to a dog to tear” again without some serious campaigning.

Debbie Downer (Mwah mwah), that’s me!

I just found this guy when I was on vacation and was watching TV at my sil’s home. I was amazed!

I have 2 dogs, and he makes LOTS of sense. He’s just wild to watch and has GREAT ideas about training.

We love, LOOOVE Cesar Milan. (In Spanish accent) “My name is Cesar Milan. And I am the Dog Whisperer.” Kind of does it for me – that man is adorable and that “shht” sound he makes to get dogs to obey? Yeahhhhh.

I sort of wish that I could just put him in my purse and take him home and have him read Isabel Allende stories out loud to me as I fall asleep.
