Yeah, if you’re reading this now you’re cutting it a little close for Valentine’s Day 2007. And that means you’re my kind of person!
With 2 kids in preschool, and one in daycare (who must do EVERY-THING his big brothers do) we needed to make about 90 valentine’s cards this year. I’ve got nothing against the $1 packs of cards from Target, but I was too lazy to go get any.
So instead I set up Cupid’s Lil Sweatshop.
I found a stack of red construction paper and cut it into fourths. I used a Sharpie and in the corner wrote each kid’s name* inside a heart.
I handed Mike and Robbie a stack of fancy, new stickers and told them that they could use 2 per card. And I sat with Chip and handed him stickers to apply. When one card was done, it went into the pile.
So efficient. So full of love and the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
So done!
(* Um, yeah, those are my kids’ real names, and that’s my handwriting… Right.)
