Will I become one of "them"?

I have lost the power to resist it, and the first season of Lost is now at the top of my Netflix queue. Mr. Plain and I were talking about how CSI is just all tired out and really a waste of TiVO space. 3 shows a week is a big commitment to dead bodies, fetishized laboratory work, fashionable police officers, and hilariously wry names. We’ve also given up on Desperate Housewives and a few others. So now we’ve decided to catch up on shows we’ve never watched like Lost, Gray’s Anatomy, Nip/Tuck….

Will I become one of those bloggers who goes on and on about the latest “Lost” developments? Only time will tell, but you have been warned.

We love series on Netflix – we watched every minute of Six Feet Under, just started something called Huff, are HUGE fans of Foyle’s War, started Rome, Big Love, and Weeds – but haven’t moved forward with those. We tried Alias, but it was a bit too heart pumping. We love CSI, but ONLY Vegas and Grissom. New York seems too “Now is the time on sprockets when ve dance” and that lead guy on the Miami version is just so affected that we can’t take it.

I have, so far, resisted the urge to ‘Flix’. It is my supposition that movies actually cost you more thru NF than just going to your locale movie rental place.

I know, I’m probably wrong. But I’m a man and I will revel in my ignorance (until I final sign up and become a convert, going around proselytizing to the unwashed masses I rose up from).

do try to resist lost – you’ll burn up brain cells. i got so cross with the non-organic way the plot developed. plot … did i say plot? it was really just a juxtaposition of events that seemed chosen at random to baffle. there was no internal logic that i could grasp. maybe it’s just too post modern – and i’m too pre old-fashioned … but i do like a narrative thread (with a nice cup of tea)

You’re a fellow Nip/Tucker? Cool! I haven’t met many other bloggers that watch it. And I watch GA, too. But not LOST because I just can’t get sucked into any more shows.

Melanie — uh oh, I’m scared.

Jessica — Rome was AWESOME! I really hope they do another series like that. I miss it.

How About Two — I cannot stand going to Blockbuster, so it is Netflix for me.

mad muthas — Hmmm, the disc is sitting on top of the TV taunting me. I will probably succumb.

Izzy — I haven’t watched it yet, but I’ve heard it is a good show. We’ll see how it works out!

I cant be bothered with lost. It started out great, but its become like the Matrix trilogy, something that doesnt make sense and not worth my time.
